Gifted and Talented

At Twickenham, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to realise their full potential in a challenging and supportive environment. We provide learning opportunities that cater for all needs and abilities. Our definition of ability recognises academic and practical performance as well as outstanding artistic, musical and creative talent, physical skills, leadership qualities and the ability to process ideas and information. It also recognises that a child may possess potential although performance may not currently reflect this.

Our school has, at any time, both gifted and talented pupils, and we believe that we can make a difference in enabling these pupils to achieve the greatest possible progress and recognise the value and importance of identifying and celebrating their achievements and successes. Whilst promoting appropriate opportunities to cater for their needs, we ensure that these provisions are an integral part of on-going teaching and learning.
