Computing

This year, we have developed a long term plan, ( the first year of a two year rolling programme), which focuses on 5 key strands that encompass all skills within the computing  curriculum.

These strands are:

• Technology in our lives,
• E-safety,
• Programming,
• multimedia
• Handling data.

Specifically, we will:

Improve the understanding of E safety to ensure that ICT is used safely, responsibly and respectfully by pupils and staff both in and out of school.

Develop opportunities for planning to use digital literacy as a means of supporting pupils’ speech, language and communication skills.

To develop use of ICT for problem solving and producing media: giving pupils ownership over the data and content they share.
